We begin tonight with Boston's housing market, and signs that rent increases are slowing down. City officials say their analysis shows rents increased last year by one point-three percent. Officials have issued a request for proposals to create a new admissions test for Boston's three exam schools. Since the nineteen nineties, students have been taking the same test used by elite private schools. And scoring on the test has been questioned even by its previous administrator. Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting last Saturday night as nineteen year-old Hilton Clark, of Mattapan. He was shot a little after nine-thirty p-m in Mattapan, on Colorado Street.
