Bridging divides and moving ahead: that was the vision last night in Mayor Walsh's State of the City address at Symphony Hall. He outlined plans for new spending on the Boston Public Schools and more help with housing needs, including more access to home-ownership. This morning at the State House, a new coalition's drumming up support for measures to help meet the need for affordable housing. These include a home rule petition that would allow for a new transfer tax on property transactions over two million dollars in the City of Boston.
