We begin tonight with the crackdown on the homeless at Mass Ave and Cass Boulevard. According to the Boston Globe, efforts by police to disperse the population and make arrests have resulted in complaints from the homeless--and from South End residents.
The State Police are investigating an assault yesterday afternoon long the Neponset River Greenway. The victim's described as a forty-six year-old woman. The assault took place around two p-m on a section of the bike path near Ryan Playground in Mattapan.
After a fatal crash last week in South Boston, City Councilor Ed Flynn wants a closer look at traffic safety. Two pedestrians were struck by a van last Wednesday, at Summer and Melcher streets, near Fort Point Channel.
