This week on Talk of the Neighborhoods with Joe Heisler, State Senate President Pro Tempore William Brownsberger (D-Belmont) joins us on the first half of the show at 6:00 p.m. to talk about his work at the statehouse and his upcoming Democratic Primary campaign for re-election to the Suffolk and Middlesex district, including all of Allston and Brighton, and most of the Fenway in Boston. The district also includes the towns of Belmont and Watertown, and a small portion of Cambridge. He is being challenged by Dan Lander, a senior policy advisor to Mayor Michelle Wu. Then on the second half, former Senator Dianne Wilkerson stops by to talk about up her upcoming appearance and presentation at a high profile TedX community forum in Roxbury and her thoughts on how elected officials could better serve the city's communities of color.
