We begin tonight with changes in leadership at City Hall. Mayor Walsh has created a new position to be filled by the previous head of the Inspectional Services Department, William Christopher. At least fifteen candidates running at-large will be on the ballot this year for City Council. As a result, the four incumbents and their challengers will have to compete for the top eight positions in a preliminary election on September 24th. A ribbon-cutting took place today in Dorchester for new housing that was rebuilt after a fire two years ago. Developed by Trinity Financial and located near Ashmont Station, the Treadmark has eighty-three housing units.
