We begin tonight with plans for a safe summer, by the city, the police, and the district attorney's office. After a meeting yesterday in police headquarters, officials announced plans for prevention efforts with community partners--from clergy to owners of nightclubs. Yesterday at Franklin Park Zoo, local students got to preview some of Boston's opportunities for summer learning. Plans call for another increase in programs this year, reaching more than fourteen thousand students. Morning rush-hour service was disrupted this morning on the Dorchester branch of the Red Line by a derailment. According to the Globe, a Red Line car went off the rails around five-thirty a-m in the train yard near Ashmont Station. An aspiring concert pianist who was seriously injured by a facade collapse in Allston has filed a law suit against the property's owner and manager. Last November, twenty-three year-old Sonya Bandouil was injured by pieces of concrete that fell off the Common Ground restaurant on Harvard street.
